SEO Kit Assistant ("SEO Kit Assistant", "we", "us") is a WordPress plugin and companion backend service that reads Google Search Console data for a site you own or manage and turns it into SEO recommendations shown inside your own WordPress admin dashboard. This policy explains what data we access, why, how it's stored, and how you can remove it.
What we access
When you click "Connect to Google Search Console" in the plugin, Google asks you to sign in
and grant SEO Kit Assistant read-only access to your Search Console data
(https://www.googleapis.com/auth/webmasters.readonly). We only ever request
this single scope — we cannot read your email, your Drive, your other Google services, or
make any change to your Search Console property.
With that permission, the plugin fetches, for the property you select: search queries, pages, clicks, impressions, click-through rate and average position, for the date ranges needed to build the opportunity lists, task board and results shown in your dashboard.
How we use it
This data is used for one purpose only: to compute and display the SEO insights the plugin advertises (opportunity engine, near-page-one, CTR opportunities, keyword cannibalization, results tracking) inside your own WordPress site's admin area. We do not use it for advertising, do not profile you, and do not combine it with data from any other customer.
Where it's stored
- Google OAuth tokens (the access/refresh token that lets our backend call the Search Console API on your behalf) are stored in our Cloudflare-hosted database, keyed to a random identifier generated by your own WordPress install — never to your Google account email. Tokens can optionally be encrypted at rest.
- Search Console performance data (the queries, pages and metrics listed above) is processed on request and stored in your own WordPress database, on your own hosting — not on our servers.
Retention and deletion
- Clicking "Disconnect" in the plugin immediately revokes the token at Google (it disappears from your Google Account's "Third-party access" list) and deletes it from our database.
- If a connection is never used again, its token is automatically revoked and deleted after 180 days of inactivity, without you having to do anything.
- Uninstalling the plugin removes the SEO data and settings stored in your own WordPress database.
Sharing
We do not sell, rent or share your Google user data with any third party. It is never used to train AI/ML models. The only outside call ever made with this data is to Google's own Search Console API, to retrieve it in the first place.
SEO Kit Assistant's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs to any other app will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
Your controls
You can revoke SEO Kit Assistant's access at any time, either from inside the plugin ("Disconnect") or directly from your Google Account's permissions page. You can request deletion of any data we hold by emailing us at the address below.
Other data we process
If you purchase a license, we process the license key, the domain it's locked to, and standard order/billing information needed to validate and support that purchase. This is unrelated to your Google account and is never linked to your Search Console data.
Children
SEO Kit Assistant is a business tool and is not directed at children under 13.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes in a material way, we'll update the "Last updated" date above. Continued use of the plugin after a change means you accept the updated policy.
